Description
There are so many words with which we create such beautiful prayers throughout time and as we do so, even in great hope and deep belief, if what we asked for is not where we seek to receive its arrival or it is not dressed for our imagined occasions, we often miss that it is there. GOD ALWAYS answers PRAYERS and in remembering that HE, too, asks from us, what seem like hiding places for our answers begin to open like flowers in the sunlight to show us that in HIS LIGHT they are brighter than what we could have thought to desire. On a walk in the park in California to celebrate and meditate on THE FEAST DAY OF SAINT JOSEPH, I knew that, as always, there would be an answer to my prayers there as well as a call for me to give, for me to vow, a model of direction. It was immediate, as nature always is, choreographed in the dance of time always. It was in the eucalyptus trees that I have heard rustling to near falling in the dry winds so many times and awakened to find standing upright in earned survival, that I have seen through the smoke that is all too common here as the flames arrive every fall and that I have rejoiced with in the clearing days after, once again upright and unscathed as they bent in adaptation to keep their word to still be there to celebrate with us after it all became beautifully blue again. So, of course it was there and in them that I saw the HONOREE OF THE DAY, quiet, ever-strong, ever-enduring, ever steadfast and ever perfectly devoted Saint Joseph, who worked with patience, art and determination to shape the wood of tall trees to support OUR HOLY FAMILY, to create out of what OUR FATHER had so generously BLESSED Him with in talent, insight and qualification and who, chosen above all simply because, by nature and with persistence and unshakeable FAITH within any and all elements, heard the request of the cloud and without looking anywhere but up or wondering why, only and instantly asked "HOW HIGH," and grew taller.
