Bees and lavender, a team made in Heaven, in their sweetness and their fragrance, have wonderful pertinence in the Bible where, so LOVINGLY, we are assured gifts in which they are a part. In the land of milk and honey from the hard-working bees that placed it even into clefts and rocks and in the fragrant oils that bless us of which this blessed bloom they are partially made of and with which Mary of Bethany, Martha's sister, annointed the feet of Jesus, we encounter their spiritual relevance. In the country of Portugal this beautiful and aromatic bloom is the National Flower! It is artfully lovely then,that the eloquent and fervent Saint Anthony of Padua, whose words empassion and capture all who taste of the fervent and sweet faith that flows mellifluousy through them, was born in Lisbon. Saint Anthony, we LOVE you!
